This Privacy Policy describes Our policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of Your information when You use the Service and tells You about Your privacy rights and how the law protects You.

We use Your Personal data to provide and improve the Service. By using the Service, You agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

The words whose initial letters are capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.

Service refers to the Application.
Service Provider means any natural or legal person who processes the data on behalf of the Company.
Usage Data refers to data collected automatically, either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself.
You means the individual accessing or using the Service.

While using Our Service, We may ask You to provide Us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify You. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:

Nutrition and Activity Tracking Data

When you use the nutrition and activity tracking features of the Service, we may collect the entries you enter and the calculated daily summaries shown to you. Such information may include:

Food and meal entries (including estimated nutrition values)
Water intake and daily totals
Activity progress indicators (e.g., steps) and daily totals

We use this data to provide the tracking experience and to display your progress in your account. This nutrition and progress information is for your use only and is not transmitted to third parties.

In-App Purchase and Subscription Data

If you unlock premium features through subscriptions or other paid features offered via the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android), the respective store processes the payment. We may receive subscription and purchase status information from Apple and/or Google (such as receipt and transaction identifiers) to verify your entitlement and grant access to premium features. We do not receive your payment card number or payment credentials.

Usage Data

Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service. Usage Data may include information such as Your Device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that You visit, the time and date of Your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.

When You access the Service by or through a mobile device, We may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device You use, Your mobile device's unique ID, the IP address of Your mobile device, Your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser You use, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.

Information Collected while Using the Application

While using Our Application, in order to provide features of Our Application, We may collect, with Your prior permission:

Information regarding your location
Pictures and other information from your Device's camera and photo library

We use this information to provide features of Our Service, to improve and customize Our Service. The information may be uploaded to the Company's servers and/or a Service Provider's server or it may be simply stored on Your device. You can enable or disable access to this information at any time, through Your Device settings.

Use of Your Personal Data

The Company may use Personal Data for the following purposes:

To provide and maintain our Service, including to monitor the usage of our Service.
To manage Your Account: to manage Your registration as a user of the Service.
For the performance of a contract: the development, compliance and undertaking of the purchase contract.
To provide nutrition and activity tracking features, including calculating daily totals (e.g., calories and macros), water intake, and progress indicators shown in your account.
To administer subscriptions and provide access to premium features unlocked through in-app purchases.
To contact You by email, telephone calls, SMS, or other equivalent forms of electronic communication.
To provide You with news, special offers, and general information about other goods, services and events.
To manage Your requests: To attend and manage Your requests to Us.
For business transfers: We may use Your information to evaluate or conduct a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer.
For other purposes: data analysis, identifying usage trends, determining the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns.

We may share Your personal information in the following situations:

With Service Providers: We may share Your personal information with Service Providers to monitor and analyze the use of our Service, to contact You. All Service Providers are required to protect Your data to the same or equal standard as described in this Privacy Policy and as required by Apple's App Store Guidelines.
With Apple and Google for in-app purchases: If you purchase subscriptions or other paid features through the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android), the respective store may share subscription and purchase status information with us so we can verify your entitlement and provide access to premium features. We do not receive your payment card number or payment credentials.
With Third-Party AI Services (Google Gemini): When You use the food recognition feature, your photo is shared with Google Gemini (Google LLC) solely to identify food items and estimate nutritional content. This data is not used for advertising, marketing, or profiling. Google LLC is contractually bound to provide equal or greater data protection as described in this Privacy Policy. We obtain Your explicit permission before sharing any photo data with Google Gemini.
With Analytics Providers (Google Analytics, Firebase): We share usage data with Google Analytics and Firebase (Google LLC) to understand how users interact with our app. This data does not include photos or food recognition results.
For business transfers: We may share or transfer Your personal information in connection with any merger, sale of Company assets, financing, or acquisition.
With Affiliates: We may share Your information with Our affiliates, who are required to honor this Privacy Policy.
With Your consent: We may disclose Your personal information for any other purpose only with Your explicit consent.

Important: Data collected from photos or camera access is used exclusively to provide food recognition functionality. It is never used for advertising, marketing, data mining, or building user profiles, and it is not shared with any party other than Google Gemini for the purpose stated above.

Nutrition and food-related progress information shown in the app is provided only to you as the account user. We use this information to calculate and display your totals and progress within the Service and do not transmit this nutrition/progress information to third parties.

Retention of Your Personal Data

The Company will retain Your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy:

Account data (email, name): retained for as long as Your account is active, or as needed to provide the Service.
Usage data (analytics, device info): generally retained for up to 24 months for internal analysis, then deleted or anonymized.
Nutrition & activity tracking data: retained while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, including to display your daily totals and progress. You can delete this data via account settings or by contacting us, subject to legal obligations.
In-app purchase and subscription data: retained as needed to administer your subscription, verify entitlement, and comply with legal obligations (e.g., purchase records provided by Apple).
Photos sent to Google Gemini: processed in real time and not stored by NutraPix or Google beyond what is required for the immediate request. NutraPix does not retain photos on its servers after recognition is complete.

We will retain and use Your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

Revoking Consent

You may revoke Your consent to data processing at any time:

Camera & Photo access: Disable access at any time via your iPhone Settings → NutraPix → Camera / Photos. Revoking this permission will disable the food recognition feature.
AI food recognition consent: You can reset your consent for sending photos to Google Gemini in the app's Settings screen. After resetting, the app will ask for your permission again before the next use.
Nutrition tracking data: You can stop logging new entries in the app and delete previously entered nutrition and activity data via your account settings or by contacting us.
Subscriptions: You can cancel or manage your subscription in the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) settings on your device to stop future billing.
Marketing communications: Unsubscribe using the link in any email we send, or contact us at bohdan.ryzhko.dev@gmail.com.

Transfer of Your Personal Data

Your information, including Personal Data, is processed at the Company's operating offices and in any other places where the parties involved in the processing are located. Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by Your submission of such information represents Your agreement to that transfer. The Company will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that Your data is treated securely.

Delete Your Personal Data

You have the right to delete or request that We assist in deleting the Personal Data that We have collected about You. You may:

Sign in to Your Account and visit the account settings section to manage or delete your personal information.
Submit a deletion request by emailing us at bohdan.ryzhko.dev@gmail.com. We will process your request within 30 days.

Please note that We may need to retain certain information when we have a legal obligation or lawful basis to do so.

Disclosure of Your Personal Data

Business Transactions

If the Company is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, Your Personal Data may be transferred. We will provide notice before Your Personal Data is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of our Service. This data is shared with other Google services. Nutrition and Activity Tracking

NutraPix's tracking features help you log meals, water intake, and activity progress, and they calculate daily totals and summaries displayed in your app account.

Who can see it: Nutrition and progress information is provided only to you as the account user.

Third parties: This nutrition/progress information is not transmitted to third parties.

In-App Purchases and Subscriptions (Apple App Store and Google Play)

NutraPix offers premium features through subscriptions in the Apple App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android). By paying for a subscription, you can unlock all premium features of the Service.

Payment processing: Apple (App Store) and Google (Google Play) process the payment. We do not receive your payment card number or other payment credentials.

What we receive: We may receive subscription and purchase status information from Apple and/or Google (e.g., receipt and transaction identifiers) to verify entitlement and grant access to premium features.

AI-Powered Food Recognition

NutraPix uses Google Gemini, an artificial intelligence service provided by Google LLC, to analyze food photos and provide nutritional information.

What data is sent: When You use the food recognition feature, the photo You take or select is transmitted to Google Gemini's servers for processing. No other personal data (such as your name or email) is included in this transmission.

Purpose: The photo is used solely to identify food items and estimate their nutritional content. It is not used for advertising or profiling purposes.

User consent: Before your photo is sent to Google Gemini for the first time, the app will ask for your explicit permission. You may decline, in which case the food recognition feature will not be available.

Data retention: Photos sent to Google Gemini are processed in real time and are not stored by Google beyond what is required for the immediate request, in accordance with Google's API usage policies.
